Иван Егорьев - Ivan Egorif was born in St Petersburg. 24 years of age, mechanical engineer.
Date of arrival to Australia is unknown. Applied for naturalisation in 1898.
In August 1900 Eggeroffe, Egor was registered in Palmerston ( former name for Darwin) and as Erin at Brock's Creek. "Eggoriffe all through has persisted that he was struck by one o£ the Victoria River natives".
1902 found Evan Eggoriffe drunk
In 1905 Ivan and three other people (Fred Bradshaw, Skeehan, Dannock) "were tomahawked to death upon their lugger, in revenge, it is alleged, for Eggoriffe's brutal handling of the natives. Bones collected on the beach were buried on the crest of a hill looking over the flats of the great river, a splendid peak standing out clear of the range, and known as Bradshaw's Tomb."
MASSACRED BY BLACKS.
MR. BRADSHAW'S BODY FOUND.
STRUGGLE WITH CAPTIVE NATIVES.
GRIM TALE OF BLOODSHED.
PORT DARWIN, Monday.—News has been received which confirms tragically the story of the massacre of Mr. F. M. Bradshaw and his party by blacks. It will be remembered that on December 8 a black-boy named Bobby brought word to the homestead on the Victoria River that Mr. Bradshaw's party, consisting of Mr. Fred. M. Bradshaw, one of the owners of Bradshaw's run on the Victoria River; Mr. Jerry Skeahan, the manager of the ad-joining station of Auvergne; together with Ernest Dannock and Ivan Eggoreffe, employees of Mr. Bradshaw, and three friendly black boys, had been murdered when on their way to Port Darwin in Mr. Bradshaw's oil launch, the Bolwarra.
The lugger Coral returned from Cape Scott on Sunday, December 31, bringing news of the tragedy, and confirming beyond doubt that portion of Bobby's story which told of the murder of Messrs. Bradshaw, Dannock, Skeahan, and Eggoriffe.

....The officers report finding the bodies of Messrs. Dannock, Skcahan; and Eggoreffe, which had been thrown up on the bench southward of the spot where Bradshaw's body was found. Each body bears evidence of the murderous assault. The bodies are considerably dismembered. No blacks bodies were found, and it is now believed that all the blacks were implicated in the murder, and that none died with the white party as was reported by Bobby.
